Returns Policy

You may return unused items (except earrings) providing that they are still in a saleable condition within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within five working days from receipt of the returned item in good condition.

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

To return an item please send to: Mary Hinde, 6 Sycamore Close, Cambridge, CB1 8PG. (Returns should not be addressed to Quite Contrary Jewellery as this may alert unscrupulous people as to the nature of the contents of the package.) Please return using the service used by us appropriate to the value of the item i.e. Recorded or Special Delivery Next Day as these provide the necessary proof of posting.


We ship mainly to the UK for which pricing will be calculated automatically.

If you live outside the UK please contact us for more details of shipping costs.

Each item is unique and therefore only one is available. If you order something that has just been sold I will contact you with an estimated date of delivery for a similar piece to be made.

Please also note that the shipping rates we use are value-based.
